Saola Foundation for Annamite Mountains Conservation
The project aims to save the critically endangered Saola (Pseudoryx nghetinhensis) and helping to conserve its home of the Annamite Mountains of Vietnam and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR).
description
The project is building national professional capacity for biodiversity conservation of the Annamite Mountains of Lao, in tandem with determining if Saola can be found in such a way that allows for safe and viable capture for conservation breeding as part of the IUCN One Plan for Saola Conservation; the only way that Saola can now be saved from extinction.
